Alli & Billy - Married!

Sometimes when I meet a couple there just this wonderful, calm chemistry between them and this is the case with Alli & Billy. Both are very quiet and sweet, down to earth and also seem easygoing about pretty much everything! We had a great time and fun engagement session in Thibodaux earlier this year with a mix of some good 'ol country fun at the Laurel Valley plantation museum and also some more elegant balcony and garden shots at the Danserau House so I knew this would be a great day for all of us! I have been looking forward to getting them in front of the camera again since they are so photogenic. They also had such a good looking family & wedding party and everyone pretty much amazed me with excitement for photos :)

Alli & her girls started the day off with getting their hair done at Aveda then met me at the Bourbon Orleans hotel for makeup and preparations. We were lucky enough to have use of the balcony in her room for some wonderful looking French Quarter portraits and details. The funny thing about the Wedding day is that in the back of my mind I am always waiting for that one "snag" that inevitably happens at some point. Well, it just so happens that for some reason there were about 4 parades going down Orleans right in front of the Hotel (and a few second lines) at the exact time we were supposed to be riding in the limo to Pat O's on the River. Now some of you may say - that is just a short walk - but remember that carrying gear and pulling my camera case plus the temp of what felt like 150 degrees, I was content to wait in the lobby with some AC.  We had just finished walking across Bourbon St and down a few blocks for some cute formal pics with the girls & my chair was feeling nice. Finally we got our limo and made it only a few minutes late to the ceremony which was beautiful and followed with an awesome reception dancing to The Soul Survivors.

Chrissy & Jonathan Married!

What an amazing and fun day we had for Chrissy and Jonathan's wedding ceremony at St. Louis Cathedral and Reception at the Presbytere. Chrissy was getting ready at the Westin on the river so getting makeup done downstairs at Saks Bobbi Brown counter was very easy and they did a great job!  After getting in the dress it was into a Carriage for the ride to Jackson Square / Cathedral for the ceremony... Although there were some clouds in the morning we got a clearing just at the right time and a beautiful blue sky! It was so wonderful to see the light coming in through the windows during the ceremony, just perfect! Some couples just have such a relaxed feeling while the day is moving along and this is the case with Chrissy & Jonathan for sure, they are a great match and both have a laid back type of personality. I really can say the day was so smooth and things could not have gone better for everyone! Thank you for the great experience and I hope you enjoy looking through a few of my favorite images. Thanks also to my second shooter Eddie M. for some awesome images and a fun time during the day:) Could not have done it without you. Congratulations to the happy couple!!!

Kate's Bridal Portraits - City Park and Warehouse district

It's been so hard to keep these images of Kate's Bridal Portraits to myself for such a long time!!!! Kate and I had been trying to decide where she wanted to have most of the images taken between City Park and the Warehouse district and we decided to go with splitting the time between both locations. We shared the same vision of what she wanted and starting at City Park was a great idea because we had so much fun and got so many great images, including the one that was chosen to be displayed as a large print at the reception. It really was a hard choice between the classic and modern shots and Kate was just so beautiful in all the photos, it's a good thing I did not have to make the final choice! I am happy to be able to share these now and hope everyone enjoys seeing them. Congratulations to the happy couple... Look for my blog post coming soon from Kate and Cory's Wedding!
