Karl & Val - A Beach Wedding

I think almost everyone loves Beach Weddings, there are so many things to love about them! When Karl and Val were planning their elegant and simple wedding for close family and friends, this venue at Gulf Shores seemed exactly the right place to enjoy the sun and sand while saying their vows. They each had rented a small condo on the lake one for the boy's & one for the girls (only 3 buildings away from each other) and it was a fun, different experience for me to bounce back and forth between the two and catch some sweet and funny moments while everyone got ready. The vibe was very relaxed and they were both super excited to have their "First Look" on the pier.

Karl was looking very fresh in his all white suit paired with some original socks & bow tie, while Val was classic and simple in her knee length, one shoulder wrap dress with a flowing scarf- the wind caught it perfectly most of the day and added a whimsical feeling. This intimate Destination Wedding was exactly what they had envisioned to share their first day as Husband and Wife with a lot of help from Mother of the Bride Eva, (Val's bouquet, table settings, cake flowers and much more). What a wonderful gift to give your daughter on her Wedding day! I hope you enjoy looking through a few of my favorite images and thank you for making it so enjoyable be a part of this moment! Love you guys!

Kate & Cory Married!!!

I am so excited to be posting these images from Kate and Cory's wedding on June 22nd! On the day of the wedding they had me come to The Saint on Canal St. where the bridal party and family were getting ready and staying for the weekend of events. The feeling was busy and happy when I arrived to capture the prep shots. This hotel is so beautiful and modern, they have just opened recently and it was nice to be able to get inside for a glimpse. Kate is a big fan of exposed brick so these rooms were perfect for her and some of the detail shots. In the lobby there is an awesome pool table and chandelier just begging to be photographed, and of course a perfect choice for the portraits of the groom and his guys. After the girls got all dolled up and were ready for some fun portraits around the French Quarter, we headed outside for a quick walk around the block. What a fun time! We found some perfect spots and got lucky enough to hop on a street car too :) Then it was time to head to St. Joseph Catholic Church for the ceremony and then downtown to the Federal Ballroom for a fun and exciting reception. It was such an amazing experience, Kate and Cory had a blast hanging out with all the friends and family, and each other. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy this teaser of favorite images from the day!
