Allison & Tucker Engaged!

Allison and Tucker are currently living in Atlanta and were recently in town for a friends wedding so we had the perfect opportunity to have a fun afternoon out around the French Quarter and City Park where they showed some of their soccer skills! It was very cute how they played but were still very competitive and I got to use the "first ever purchase" as a couple for a fun prop - the soccer ball (how cute)! We got so lucky with the weather and it was a perfect day, just a bit chilly in the morning so it made for a great excuse to cuddle... overall we had such a good time and I got to find out all kinds of cute stories about how they met, their first date in a foreign country and plans for the future. I am so excited for the wedding at the Chicory coming up in December! Hope you all enjoy these images - what a gorgeous couple you make!

Lauryn & Hayes - Engaged

What a wonderful and fun couple! During this whole session I literally could not stop smiling because their personalities are contagious, they kept laughing and joking around which was great for all of us! Hayes is very laid back and really wanted to just bum around the French Quarter for some relaxed candid pictures and Lauryn was fine with that too. The only request was that we stop along the way for refreshments, which of course we did. Starting at Pat O's in the Quarter with a taste of the famous Hurricane we then ventured to walk the streets and ended up finding a Lucky Dog stand in Jackson Square, which is somewhat rare. It was so cute how they shared a bite and I found out that it's one of their favorite stops when visiting New Orleans. The last spot for a sweet taste of beignet's was of course Café Du Monde where it was VERY crowded but, luckily we got the perfect corner table after just a few minutes of waiting. Overall the afternoon was very fun, relaxed and perfect weather... a great day to celebrate young love :)

Lisa & Jerad Married!

Lisa and Jerad were Married on May 11th, 2013 in New Orleans. These two are such a sweet couple, they have slightly opposite type personalities but seems that they fit together just right and compliment each other in a special way. It was such a joy to see them enjoying all the family and friends that came from out of town and locally to witness this special day! After having a fairly complicated time with the weather for Lisa & Jerad's engagement photos a few months back, my hope was that it would not be an issue for the Wedding. Leading up to that weekend it was in the forecast to storm all day Friday and Saturday even possibly into Sunday. Not just rain but Thunder Storms.... I have to say that it's always a wonderful surprise when the weather man is wrong! About 5am that morning it was storming indeed but later in the day toward the early afternoon it was overcast but not raining and looked as though we may luck out. We were able to capture some great portraits of the bridal party around the French Quarter before the ceremony and the sun even came out after the Beautiful ceremony at Immaculate Conception Church so we could get a few shots of the Bride and Groom before heading over to Pat O's on the River for a fun and relaxed reception. One of my favorite shots is of the guys smoking Cigars out on the balcony near the end of the night. Thanks guys for letting me in on the Cigar smoking time :) Overall the day was wonderful and a great time was had by all, thank you Lisa & Jerad for letting me be a part of your day! Enjoy!
