Blondiau Girls hang Uptown for the Afternoon...

It is truly my pleasure to have the opportunity to photograph these sweet girls again... Our sessions keep getting more creative and they keep growing, becoming more beautiful each time! This was a fun one for sure and I have to say repeat clients offer a fun type of freedom, there is something to be said for knowing each other and now it's easier for the girls to get in the groove of the posing and of course the cute candid stuff as we go. We started at Audubon park and went by the horse stables - which they were nice enough to let us take a few photos near the horses. Then it was on to some cute shops on Magazine and a last stop at the cemetery, though we thought it would be open and it wasn't, actually it probably ended up better that way and we just used the gate and cool brick wall which was a great contrast to the pink dresses :)  I hope you all enjoy these as much as I do and of course the family did for Christmas... Thank you Kristal, Penny and Quin for an awesome memory!

Kate and Cory - Engagement Session, Gatlinburg TN

I have been waiting excitedly to post these sweet images of Kate and Cory out enjoying nature in the Smoky Mountains. These images are very close to my heart since Cory is my cousin and I am so excited to have the honor of capturing this special relationship, not to mention when they say their vows in June! I have a strong feeling this will be an emotional day for everyone and I'm sure will get choked up at some point...

Since they are currently living in Colorado we originally thought there was no way to do engagement photos but then I remembered we would all see each other in Gatlinburg for our family vacation during Thanksgiving week. Then the anticipation and excitement grew for everyone, not knowing where we would shoot and what the weather would be like. Kate brought a lot of outfit options and she gave us a fashion show the night before while choosing each piece :) This is always an exciting type of session for me, to shoot in a new place and discover scenes as we go along so here are my favorites from our slightly overcast day that ended up being gorgeous and full of perfect moments!

Avery Christmas Portraits

We had such a great time with Avery for her Christmas Baby Portraits at Mrs. Michelle's house in Lakeview! The front porch location was so cute with the brick, white rockers and her white dress. Luckily I did catch her standing up for a few minutes to get some candid shots, then we used the back porch and dark furniture to contrast her outfit. The white crochet hat was adorable also with the white couch and sitting on Mom's lap... Enjoy!

Elizabeth Fall Portraits

I am so excited to share these photos since the first session with Elizabeth proved to be a bit challenging. Back when she was just three months old we had planned a session at city park and the poor baby was just not happy! We tried everything but it seemed she just wanted her mommy to hold her. So I worked with it and actually got some really cute photos that day. Having my own experience with that (my little Ashleigh usually runs the other way when she see's my camera) it can be frustrating but it just takes a little patience. With that said I think both sets of photos are darling and now she is just more into being photographed at this age than she was at 3 months! We had such a great time with all the props and then a fun trip to the back yard with the beautiful fall colors, Elizabeth is such a wonderful and sweet baby, LOVE the two "rockin it" fingers in the mouth :)
Thanks to Mom (Carolyn) for helping get everything we needed to ensure the shoot would go smoothly and I can't wait to see some big prints on your wall! Enjoy!
