April's Bridal Portraits

I am so excited to finally be able to share April's Bridal photos with everyone! April and Patrick were married recently and it was a difficult choice for her to pick the favorite image to display at the reception, so we ended up printing two. That for me is awesome in itself. When I first met April I knew we would hit it off in a huge way, she is very sweet and down to earth with a little bit of spunk, just like me. We took full advantage of the City Park area including the Botanical Gardens and had a blast stopping at every picturesque location to be sure we had the perfect image. One of the shots I absolutely love ended up as the latest image for my New Orleans Bride magazine advertisement which was pretty exciting for everyone. You are stunning April.... I hope you enjoy looking through these again.

Lauryn - Bridal Portraits at Fairview-Riverside State Park

I have been SO patiently waiting to show the world how beautiful and classic Lauryn looked in her low-back lace gown and Cathedral length veil for her Bridals a few months back. She and new hubby Hayes were married October 5th - Keep an eye out for that blog post coming soon! We had such a blast and it was a very fun day.

After having such a fun session with Lauryn and Hayes for their Engagement photos in the French Quarter, I was definitely looking forward to this Bridal session on the North Shore at Fairview State Park. One of the reasons she chose this location is because their family used to spend lots of time here when she was young and there are so many special memories. I love that she wanted a place like this to add another memory and one of our favorite photos that her Mother had to have was sitting on the "special tree" Lauryn and her sister used to climb on (how sweet!). At the end of the shoot we drove to the other side of the park for this photo and almost got completely soaked from the wake that was splashing onto shore from the jet ski's and boats on the river!

Thank you to Ms Elizabeth and all the family that helped out with waters, lights, flip flops, the sheet and of course lots of laughter. You made the day perfect! Lauryn you are stunning...

Kate's Bridal Portraits - City Park and Warehouse district

It's been so hard to keep these images of Kate's Bridal Portraits to myself for such a long time!!!! Kate and I had been trying to decide where she wanted to have most of the images taken between City Park and the Warehouse district and we decided to go with splitting the time between both locations. We shared the same vision of what she wanted and starting at City Park was a great idea because we had so much fun and got so many great images, including the one that was chosen to be displayed as a large print at the reception. It really was a hard choice between the classic and modern shots and Kate was just so beautiful in all the photos, it's a good thing I did not have to make the final choice! I am happy to be able to share these now and hope everyone enjoys seeing them. Congratulations to the happy couple... Look for my blog post coming soon from Kate and Cory's Wedding!

Looking back on the BEST OF 2011 WEDDINGS!

For the first time in about 2 weeks since the kids have been home from school for vacation, today I am finally getting to blog! I was going through some files, cleaning things out, getting ready for the new year and thought to myself... it would be fun to put up my favorites from this year in weddings. I do not always have time to post a blog from each wedding so now having no time constraints, I felt it allowed me to really go through these images with a viewpoint of which ones really captured emotion, the Bride & Groom, parents and guests in a unique way, and some really beautiful details of course :) The original edit for this was about 170 or so images but I tried to narrow it down a bit more from there, it was very hard! Thank you to all the couples who let me into their lives for this special time and I look forward to capturing more amazing memories this year in 2012~
*some of these images were taken in partnership with Arte De Vie photography as a second shooter. Thank you CheyAnne for a great year!
